Shadow Funeral Groceries ("Shadow", "we", "us", or "our") is a South African membership-based grocery benefit plan. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and your participation in any Shadow Funeral Groceries membership plan. By signing up for a plan or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Membership is open to individuals who complete our sign-up process, provide accurate personal information, and keep their monthly contributions up to date. A member may register dependants and beneficiaries as permitted under their chosen plan. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a membership where information provided is false, incomplete, or where contributions fall into arrears beyond the grace period stated in the applicable plan.
Members agree to pay the monthly contribution associated with their selected plan, on or before the due date. Missed or late payments may result in a grace period, suspension, or lapsing of membership in line with the specific plan rules communicated at sign-up. Contribution amounts may be reviewed from time to time; members will be notified in advance of any change.
Where a registered member passes away and the membership is active and in good standing, Shadow Funeral Groceries will provide the household with a grocery package as described in the member's plan. The value, contents, and delivery timeline of the grocery package depend on the plan selected and may be substituted with items of equivalent value where a specific product is unavailable.
Each plan carries a waiting period from the date of successful registration before a claim can be honoured, except in the case of accidental death, where cover may apply from the start date. Claims arising from fraudulent information provided at sign-up, or membership that has lapsed due to non-payment, will not be honoured.
Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting us directly. Contributions already paid are not refundable, except where required by law. Cancelling a membership ends all associated benefits from the effective date of cancellation.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our plans, our processes, or the law. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
