Shadow Funeral Groceries is a grocery benefit plan. Members pay a monthly premium, and when a registered member on the plan passes away, the household receives a full grocery package — vegetables, staple groceries, and cleaning supplies, with meat included on the Premium plan.
Cover extends to the main member plus up to 13 dependants, for a total of 14 people on a single plan. A 6-month waiting period applies from the date of registration, and a once-off joining fee of R200 applies to all plans.
The grocery package is delivered as part of the service, so the family does not need to arrange or fund the shopping themselves during an already difficult time.
